Always

Since this week is basically all about my boyfriend I decided that for Poetry Friday, I would share the poem that I wrote for him in high school. The poem really needs no explanation so I hope that you enjoy it!

I fall asleep with my head on your chest

I feel you moving after every breath

I hear the beating of your heart as it matches up to mine

I wish I could lay here with you all the time

Im writing about the man that holds my heart

I pray to God that he never tears it apart

This guy is special, just like me

Only time will tell if we are truly meant to be

I promised you a promise that I swear I wont break

Because baby with you I know that wouldnt take

You're an angel from God, a gift from above

With a heart just as pure as a white feathered dove

Our love is so powerful, it continues to grow

Satan himself couldnt mess this up from down below

I gave you my heart, right from the start

I know in the end we will never part

"Forever and always," that's what I told you

Now come here baby and just let me hold you

"The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That’s what I hope to give you forever."
