The Setbacks of Writing

Do you know what the problem is that comes with being a writer? Writer's Block. I apologize for the small hiatus that I took for those two weeks, but when writer's block hits, it's time to find means of inspiration. Inspiration comes in all forms, and at the most random of times too. Sometimes writers will need a change of scenery to help overcome the block or sometimes it takes another writer or artist of some sort to help. For me, I usually need to read books so a lot of the times I will get on the app Wattpad and read from people all around the world. Reading helps my writing in ways beyond just inspiration. It helps me see where I could improve my own skills, and it helps with how and where to add more details into my writing. Yes, this blog was supposed to serve as my outlet for life and a means to help whenever I have writer's block, but sometimes I have blocks when thinking of what to write about on here. Thursdays and Fridays are usually the easier days because those are set topics, but I think I'm not going to be doing it every week anymore because I just might run out of people to write about or poems to pick (maybe). I know that I have written about writer's block on a previous post, but this was a very bad case of it. I couldn't write anything for the novel I am working on, or even in my journal which is literally used for my own feelings. That's how bad the block was, I wasn't even able to think of words to describe my feelings. What's crazy about writer's block is that it affects everyone because at some point in every person's life they need to write something, and sometimes the words don't come to them easily. We write letters, emails, posts on social media accounts, and academic papers throughout our lifetimes, and a block can occur at any moment when doing any of those tasks. It's a nuisance, but it will pass. Something is going to trigger the creativity center in your brain which may cause multiple works of art to escape. I will try not to randomly disappear like that again, but if it does happen then just know that I will be back. I won't abandon you without notice.
